Q1: How can free users save items with images?
A: The free version provides a clean, basic text-and-image cataloging feature. After taking a photo of an item or importing one from your gallery, simplyenter the item’s nameand click the “Save” button to successfully add it. (Note: The “Extract Subject / AI Background Removal” feature on the interface is an advanced feature exclusive to the Premium version. Free users do not need to click this button; simply enter the item’s information and save the original image to fully experience basic organization features such as multi-level nesting.)
Q2: I’ve purchased the “Visual Archive Premium” one-time license, but the advanced features aren’t unlocked. What should I do?
A: Please ensure your device has a stable internet connection. Go to the Settings or Upgrade page in the "Visual Archive" app and click the "Restore Purchases" button at the bottom. "Visual Archive Premium" is an official Apple in-app purchase. As long as you use the same Apple ID you used for the purchase, your subscription remains valid indefinitely. Clicking "Restore Purchases" will absolutely not result in any duplicate charges.
Q3: Are my item photos and data secure? Will they be uploaded to your servers?
A: Absolutely secure. "Visual Archive" is an independent team that places a strong emphasis on privacy; we do not use any third-party servers to store user data. All your item information, photos, and AI image-cutting calculations are processed entirely on your device. Data is synced via native iCloud encryption using only your personal Apple ID. No one—including the developers—can view your private items except you.
Q4: If I switch iPhones or own multiple Apple devices, will my data sync across them?
A: Yes. As long as your devices are signed in with the same Apple ID and you have Premium enabled, "Visual Archive" will automatically sync seamlessly between your iPhone and iPad in seconds, without the need for manual export or import.
Q5: Will the app always be free and ad-free?
A: Yes. We promise that "Visual Archive" core features—including basic archiving and multi-level nested categorization—will remain free for all users forever, and we will never add any intrusive third-party ads to the interface.
